I would not accept that there was now "something wrong with me."
My doctor did not diagnose me with a specific condition, I do not think as she only gave me information on what a "psychotic episode" was.
She was mostly positive. But they bent the rules and consulted with my family without my consent and I was eighteen years old. I will have to find out if they can deem you unfit to make decisions, in a psyche ward.
For all they knew my family may have been the cause and the abusers. Those close to you hurt you the most.
I made a lot of progress in the space of a month. The doctor spoke to me on my own, suspecting that my alcohol consumption may have been making me remember memories instead of blocking them out. There's a revelation for you all. They obviously had to get this information from my parents. I guess it is probably a grey area, because I was indeed very ill, but I recovered as many do. Looks like I have a lot of reading to do. Mental Health Act Scotland may take some time to pick apart.
Thanks for this!
