If you feel like you need weekly sessions because you are still working through things that require this kind of processing, i would insist on continuing your current schedule. However, if you feel like you have made progress and maybe aspects of your therapy feel stalled,
congratulations! You may be ready to gradually start weaning off therapy. Only do what you feel ready for, and definitely talk more with your T about this. Can you experiment with a therapy break during a week when you are really busy?
