Your hospitalization doesn't really matter until you put in your review that you've been hospitalized. The people at the office have nothing to do with the decision making and the decision is made so you don't need more evidence. Do keep track of the date sof the hospitalization and any others for your review (hospitalizations make you look like you need help). Since you are ready to budget I think you are probably fine.

Since you didn't work you will get SSI. That amount I gave you earlier ($735?) is what you will get unless your state kicks in a few dollars.

The only reason they'll say you need a payee is if you are incapable of paying bills or managing money. They ask everyone a few questions about that; I got more because in my application I had noted that I needed help sometimes budgeting and had a history of forgetting to pay bills.
