Ive been in therapy like many for a long time, on and off over 20 years. In the UK under the NHS the mental health care to be honest isnt very good, you get very small amounts of sessions each time typically. After many years trying im now seeing a psychiatrist who is doing talking therapy, and also i sometimes pay for a private session. It helps to a degree, im certainly better in therapy than not in it - but its a long ugly road still
