From what I've read about bipolar disorder you are considered to have rapid cycling if you have four or more episodes in a one year period. I have episodes that last as little as 40 minutes long - I would suspect that my medications are effecting things except for the fact that I remember having a mixed episodes three hours long before I was on any medication.

Have any of you had similar experiences? Is ultra-rapid cycling a thing or do I have some other, related disorder?
