Yes, tears were shed.

But as I waved goodbye - and saw the incredibly happy and excited face of the new owner - I felt some sense of good in that I knew it was going to go on many new adventures. I was relieved somewhat then to know it was no longer collecting dust. It was going to be used again.

Seeing it on the roof being driven away out of sight I realised that it was new beginning for me too. I have recognised that I've come a long way since my breakdown five years ago. I have healed a great deal.

Seeing kayaks on roof racks is going to be awful hard in the next while but I know I had to let go.
