Running marathons and triathalons is not uncommon where I live, but it's not so common that everyone does it (finding it hard to define uncommon). If someone I know is running a marathon, I don't get impressed about it because it sounds punishing, but I do think go you kind of thoughts and am supportive. What irritates me are the middle age male bikers who dress like they're practicing for the Tour De France with the skin tight outfit and attitude. They hog the road and are rude to walkers like me. I can't stand them. It seems like they are everywhere, the sobs.
