Okie, I think the posters were trying to encourage each other and reach out with their comraderie. As for being more positive by changing one's thoughts this is not always
possible if one is hearing voices, having delusions or is
clinically depressed. Then it is vital to get help with meds from a psychiatrist. I have lived with bipolar and paranoid-
schizophrenia for 30 years and it is almost impossible to
think yourself well. But every little bit of comfort helps and I
hope you understand that it is beautiful spirits like these people who offer Christmas cheer and support when many
of us are lonely and in despair. I feel the sentiment here is to help relieve the suffering by focusing on happy ideas if you can. Please don't feel offended as these posters were
basically sharing coping skills. -Greg
