yeah so i went to visit my brother in the mental hospital today, he's been in there for 4 days now. so i brought him a packet of smokes, and so he starts telling me how he's really concerned about his wife! the thing is, of course, there is no wife. so he's telling me how he wants to see her again and that she lives at such and such an address which is our address - we live together. so, i'm trying to go along with it, and saying i dunno when you can see her, and i said, have i met her? whats her name? he said, her name's seyumelia (or something like that i can't remember exactly because it was obviously made up on the spot) so anyway then he's getting really concerned, but not anxious, just kind of puzzled, and he says, what can we do so i can see her again. and all the while he's absolutely convinced that he's got a wife, waiting at home for him. so i say, maybe you should ring her and ask her to come visit you here. - big mistake! he took my word on the idea! straight away, we walked toward the hospital patients phone and he dialed the number and called our house. obviously no one answered, because i was there with him! he kept saying he wanted to 'just go home with me' and i kept saying, no, you can't just do that etc. so he said could i pass on the message to her, could she please come visit him in the hospital. (part of that delusion was that he expected her to come there by the same means that he had gotten there - that is by the ambulance!) so i told him, i'll tell her to come visit you. and she'll come in the next couple of days. so i'm hoping he'll either realise it's not real, or he'll imagine her coming in some form or another in his mind. it's really not funny to see him like that, it's really cute. it's like seeing him in his pure self, and having his true, raw feelings. (and the vallium makes him fully passified about everything too.) at one stage we were hugging and he was saying, 'you're the best brother in the world!'
