Maybe she doesn't want to do anything that she feels could be hurtful/harmful to her client, such as denying the client specific appointments that they could benefit greatly from. For example, if a client is REALLY struggling, she may have difficulty saying "no" because she knows that the client needs help and that she would be "wrong" to deny him/her that help, especially if that help has been effective in the past.
What I'm trying to say is that you may not be a "special case". She could be this way with certain other clients, whether it's group or private therapy (assuming she does private also). But you and I both know that the only way to know the REAL answer is to ask. Good luck!
