Carry-on please! If your checked luggage gets lost, you're screwed! So you're legally allowed to have Rx's with you on board for that reason.
I put all of my meds in a clear, plastic baggie -- one of those 1 quart freezer bags. I was able to squeeze 8 bottles in there. And I just left the entire plastic baggie in my carry-on without taking it out. They didn't care.
I don't think the plastic baggie itself is necessary, but I do it for convenience sake, both for me and the TSA.
BTW, I've done this traveling internationally through all sorts of countries and I was fine too. Munich, London, Paris, Vienna, Prague, etc etc.
