Wow,that's a horrible thing for 'friends' to do.You said friends/aquaintances though,did you know the people very well?Do you have any idea why they would do something like that,were they seeking revenge for something?

I'm sorry that happened to you.I'm not sure if it was abuse but you were definitely taken advantage of.
