I'm told this is my second attempt. I say it that way because when I went for my first interview, they informed me I had applied and been rejected in 2008. To say that it was a rough year for me would be to say the sky is blue. I don't remember anything about applying for disability back then.
This time around, I have been diligent to jump through all the hoops all the while asking, 'how high?', in the hope that it will help my chances.
I don't know what a lawyer costs. Do they get a percentage of what you get like in civil suits?
I'm just going to do this on my own. I was once told by a social worker that you have to keep trying. If you make it to 6 attempts, they'll approve you. I don't know if that's fact or not.
If I'm denied, I'll appeal. I have no doubt I qualify, the question is, were all the 'I's' dotted and the 'T's' crossed to their satisfaction. There's no question about my diagnoses.
