The policeman asked me what I would have done if the man had given me the little boy. I told him I would have locked the child and myself in the car and dialed 911. The policeman tried to make sure I understood that if something would have happened to that child, it would not have been my fault if I hadn't called. I appreciate his kindness, but I don't believe it.

One of the things I am thinking about is that since the child is autistic, maybe he doesn't know his father is trying to give him away. I don't want anyone to be autistic, please don't misunderstand, but maybe there is a bit of mercy to be found there. Otherwise, he will feel that he is just a thing, not a person, and that no one cares about him.

Who will speak for the children? Someone must speak for the children, for they have no voices...
