Going to the lake, smoking less, drinking less coffee, back rubs, a walk, weight lifting, smoking a joint, taking proper medication, talking on the phone is NOT a good anxiety reliever for me..no matter who it is...but sometimes also listening to music...the deep belly breathing instead of short gasps or holding my breath and not realizing it, helping people, buying myself any present...usually blankets....
All of that...and alot of it I do on a daily basis STILL tons of anxiety...when I try to stay in the moment...I freak out more that I am worrying too much about staying in the moment...and it is impossible for me to stay in the moment...
What I need is more anxiety medication but the Drs aren't too free with the stuff that actually helps SOME people...like me..instead they come up with stuff like "meditate" ok...meditate while my mind races and heart pounds? Give me 1mg of Ativan extra a day and possibly i CAN meditate.
