I've been on Seroquel for a little over six years. I'm down to 600 mg/night.

It is the only drug that has given me peace during the day and rest at night.

Please give it some time. Perhaps talk to your doc about what could help you get some rest.

There is a drug that specifically helps with nightmares. My doc said that they use it to help with the very vivid dreams that can make you anxious to go to sleep. I do not know what it is called.

Between my Seroquel and 30mg of Restoril I don't usually remember many distinct details of my nightmares. My spouse and dog do and I've startled them more than a few times yelling. It's worse when I've been feeling rough or dealing with stress.

I don't know if it's true, but, I think my frustration with not being able to get rest with the rxs some how changed the attitude I had in some nightmares I remember from running to being pissed off and hostile to whatever terrible thing was showing that night.

I don't know if intensifies your dreams, but, the nightmares did not go away or decrease in intensity. My doc said it's usually agitated by stress which I found to be true for me.
