I cut way back on emailing recently and when I did send one the other day, my therapist wrote the next day that she was too busy to reply but thanked me for it. She didn't say she would get to it later, so I dwelled on the hollow emptiness of my life that swelled after the reply. I got over it after a couple days, and then woke up to a very nice, thoughtful reply from her this morning, which makes me think that when she said before that she was too busy to reply it was not code for go eff yourself, and that maybe what she meant was that she was too busy to reply.
