Hello Chesterpat: I'm sorry you are having this difficulty. We here on PsychCentral can't diagnose you. That is a job for a mental health professional. Our purpose here is to provide one another with support & to share information & experiences. However I noticed this is your first post, here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral! I hope you find the time you spend here to be of benefit.

From what you wrote what you are experiencing would not seem to me to be related to schizophrenia, assuming the neighbors you mention are in fact real people & the voices you're hearing are actually them talking. But that's just my personal non-professional opinion, based on almost no information. In order to figure out what is actually going on here seeing a mental health professional, if you can, would be the way to go.

PsychCentral is a great place to get information as well as support for mental health issues. The more you post, & reply to other members’ posts, the more a part of the community you will become. Plus there are social groups you can join & chat rooms where you’ll be able to connect with other PC members in real time (once your first 5 posts have been reviewed & approved.) Lots of great stuff! So please keep posting!
