I know what I need to do to start a career, but it's going to be very challenging and it's going to take some time -- at least a year of study and review.
I have a BS in statistics. I completed half of an MS in statistics. I didn't complete the MS because I was knocked off course by a year-long bout with severe depression; even though I was performing well academically, I found myself getting a medical withdrawal from my last semester attended. That MW led me to being disqualified for financial aid. That was two years ago.
What I need to do now: review(basically, re-learn) everything I studied in grad school as well as teach myself linear algebra; I also have to review a programming language and teach myself at least three others.
What I'm trying to get my foot in the door to, career-wise, is being a data science programmer. All of the reviewing of material and learning others is overwhelming, but it seems that I really don't have a choice.
I just have to find the drive to get up and start.
