my kids can't hardly wait...last year they literally got tierd of opening presents and just wanted to play with ones they already opened,my wifes friend has a birthday cake for Jesus,so her children can understand the true meaning of christmas more on their level,kinda cool

Schools are not supposed to teach religion anymore, so that was a neat thing to happen in the play you described, my little girls play mainly consisted of Santa,Frosty the Snow Man and reindeer type songs and dialog
Very fun to see still and made me proud
