Phil: please look on the Schizophrenia and Psychosis forum for posts especially by spiritual_emergency and the links he gives. You are not the only one who has had troubles with the usual "mental health system" and there really are alternatives, which include real psychiatrists and other genuine professionals among them who do not accept the primacy of approaches which still seem to be accepted by the majority of the "system" today.
