you're right...you need a strong resolve to accomplish this. one thing that might strengthen that resolve would be to know that you're doing what's best for him...present and future, and to stay in the relationship would only hurt him more.

it's going to hurt him...know that, but to put it off longer will only hurt him more.

go on that. that's what i did with my ex and i still hurt and so did he, but it was for the best.
