I have to remember that the craving is just a craving and I can live through it. I find it helps if I play the tape through to the end and remember how bad it was the last time I got drunk - don't want to go there again.

I also take a drug, naltrexone (Revia) which really cuts down on cravings for alcohol. Acamprosate is another drug that's supposed to be good for reducing alcohol cravings but I haven't tried it, because it just got licenced for sale in Canada.
