With the 4-minute relaxation I like to follow it up with doing something very simple/calming/distracting like an online jigsaw puzzle until I'm myself again.
Obviously all of this is only speaking from my experience over the years, so your triggers may be totally different.

Just found your first posts! The diet you do is almost exactly what I've done the 4-5 times in my life when I needed to lose 22 lbs. But eventually, I eat, say, ONE cookie. Then over the following few weeks, I'm back on sugar. Someone here recently recommended roasted vegetables. I LOVE them!!!! S/he did not say anything about the microwave, but -- that's how I do them. I follow the poster's recipe except I do microwave instead of regular oven. I make enough veggies for one person (I'm the only one here). I have done carrots; parsnips; rutabagas, and Brussels sprouts so far. My favorites, and easiest ones are carrots and Brussels sprouts. For the carrots, I cut them into even-thickness strips about 4" long, rinse them and roll them in about 1 tbsp olive oil. The rinsing provides enough water. I don't add water. I put them into a microwave safe soup bowl, and cover them with a saucer that rests about1/2 inch above the veggies. Then I wave them 2 minutes, stir till all re-covered with the oil mixture, 2 more minutes, test with a sharp knife; probably cook another minute or minute and a half. The only difference with the Brussels sprouts is I cut the ends off before rinsing. them. No need to cut them in half or anything. I cook maybe 8-10 or them at a time. I don't eat meat or fish very often, so that makes it hard to find things I really like to eat.
