I'll just never forget when I worked for Customer Service at Sears in 1973 and we'd get the mean customers and have to hand them over to our supervisor to deal with and she was a 70-something, very experienced battle axe :-) But I still remember her patiently telling a customer their appliance was out of stock (so there would be a delay in delivering it) and then the next thing out of her mouth was, "I've very sorry sir, but I already have a washing machine, dryer, and two refrigerators up there" :-)
