Statistically long term relationships don't usually work out. With that said there are exceptions to every rule. I have no doubt there are couples out there who are happier in an Internet relationship than they would be without it. Statistics only tell us so much. I don't see why you can't keep the relationship while being honest and letting this person know you are still looking for love and in person companionship. It doesn't have to be all or nothing.
