When I was up in Athens I was trying to get the labor places to get me a menial labor job. So I got internet access which is almost required now to get a job. It did not work out for me being old and having a lot of baggage.

But while I was up there I sent a saliva sample to Ancestry.com, joined and created a family tree. All the genealogy work had already been done for me by relatives so all I had to do was input it into the computer. The tree goes back to pre-revolutionary war times on various branches. I have over 400 cousins on Ancestry with common ancestors, meaning we have the same ancestors in our trees. I have over 2000 fourth or closer cousins by DNA, no trees involved.

I am going to be very poor in my old age. I will live the rest of my life here at the Jenkins Domiciliary. I will file for early social security in October and only get about $700 - $800 per month which the domiciliary will take. I pray I get cancer and die by the age of 70. But in thinking about my demise I know that I will not have a grave site. So I called Ancestry and asked them if my tree and profile might be a memorial for me after I am gone. They told me that my tree and profile will be on Ancestry forever. Wow! I am eternal. I emailed my sister and am trying to get her interested in copying my tree and becoming eternal also. So far she is not interested.

But, I thought this was very interesting.
Thanks for this!
