Anyone have the MMPI-2 testing done? I'm having two tests this week, the MMPI-2 on Wednesday and another one on Thursday, I forget the name of the 2nd one. I'm obsessing over it because I've read it's called the "lie test". I guess a part of me will think they will say I'm lying or making things up. I do know that isn't how it works, but I can't stop obsessing over it.
If you've taken these tests before, can you calm my fears and give me ideas on what to expect for the test and our session after? We'll be meeting the 25th to go over the results.  |
There are 15 lie questions at least 11 should be answered in the positive, most are obvious such as " I do not always tell the truth, I do not like everyone I know, I do not read every editorial every day, sometimes I could swear, ' two less obvious are ' sometimes I have thoughts too evil to talk about, and if I could get into a movie theatre without paying I would do so'. Another is 'I sometimes vote for people about whom I know little.'
