You are definitely not weird. I do stuff like that all the time. You sound like you had more control of yourself than I usually do.

Once I couldn't find my checkbook and practically destroyed my house just to find it! I exploded and it looked like a cyclone hit...I was screaming, crying, smashing stuff...you name it...and it was all because I couldn't find my checkbook! Talk about having no control over myself!
