I think you should try ditching caffeine altogether. It's a powerful drug that one of my more health-conscious pdocs once described as a "poison". Coffee is everywhere in society, but that doesn't mean it's right for someone in your circumstances. I jacked myself out of a 9-month depression with a flood dose of caffeine which resulted in a short and annoying bout of hypomania and haven't taken caffeine since. Cannabis is also something that you can probably do without. I'm not a doctor; I just have 25 years of experience as a crazy person.
