Exercise is the thing that helps me the most, personally. Aside from that, as Jennifer said, distraction and sleep also work (although I wouldn't recommend sleep unless you actually need a nap or it's bed time). Distractions for me are watching TV shows/Youtube, playing video games or even something seemingly dull like household chores.

What situation are you stuck in? Is there anything you can do to change that?
