The same could be said about fear and guilt to a lesser extent. Fear had it's place back in prehistoric times when we were hunter-gatherers and braved many dangers to survive but is utterly pointless now to anybody that isn't fighting wars or other dangers on a regular basis. Guilt is also pointless to a lesser degree because being guilty over something like hurting somebody's feelings or standing up to an abuser or bully is illogical. Yes, feeling guilty for something that could actually threaten your well being or survival, such as hurting a loved one, breaking the law, or upsetting somebody dangerous that could easily take you down are logical applications of guilt. Feeling guilt for anything less severe is an illogical fallacy.
Anger, on the other hand, does wonders for our survival. If we are pissed off, we are motivated to make important changes in our life. We are stronger and better when we're angry. We are more motivated to survive. Anger is the only emotion worth feeling when there are things seriously wrong with your life.

Interesting perspective, though I can not agree or disagree with it. I just know that I don't like feeling angry and want to get to a place where that is not my main emotion. It's just a personal choice thing.
