Something's been buggin' me, too, but I thought it was just the let-down after Christmas. I've got some regrets about the day and I'm hoping to make up for it.
For some reason I hadn't thought about the coming new year but now that I've read your post, yeah... if I let it, it can get me down. I'm with Susan. The older we get, the faster time seems to go. It seems that nothing got really accomplished in the past year. Maybe that's why people make resolutions.

I don't make them probably because in some ways, I have a defeatist attitude. But by golly, THIS year I'm going to accomplish what I've been talking about for years! Not going to say cause I might jinx it. LOL
Try not to be afraid of your thoughts as long as you don't get desperate. It will be a good time check those thoughts out for validity. Take the time to convince yourself that there's better ways of dealing with problems and it sure doesn't hurt to ask for help. Also, don't be afraid to exchange those thoughts for more positive ones, even if it's only in a small way or it's hard to believe. Try journaling. Pound away at your keyboard and just let your mind take you where it will. Later, you can go back, read what you wrote and see where you feel you can make some changes. I've done this for years and it's really helped me!
You're not alone.
