Yes, reb569, you are very close. They have hired some new people, but at the same time they are phasing out the various freelancers who mainly focus on the new project write-ups. I don't think 2 new people can replace the number of freelancers, which is why we are having to do the new write-ups now.
But, on the other hand, if I had decided to not take the permanent job and stayed a freelancer I would probably be out of a job now. Being unemployed would have been worse.
