Mayweather's striking power is definitely way higher than most in boxing and for a very defensive and technical boxer he does hit hella hard (hence a fairly high KO record), but MMA training does a ton more conditioning for being hit hard. I think McGregor will be very prepared for Mayweather's punching power.
Having trained in MMA and boxing, I'm fairly confident that McGregor has had to train to prepare for everything in his MMA career, where as Mayweather is only prepared to go against another boxer. I highly stand by the point that boxers only train to box, but going against another fighter under boxing rules, is not the same as boxing.
Although I think McGregor will win, and I'm a big fan of MMA, if Mayweather loses it'll be a huge blow against boxing since its popularity is already dwindling and that'd be sad to see as well.
I just thought of something - OP should (if he still can) edit this thread to a poll! It'd be interesting to see!
