This is one of my biggest pet peeves. My doctor blames *EVERYTHING* on my weight. At the same time as offering zero solutions for weight loss. I think BMI is a good tool ONLY if used correctly.

I would even argue that you can be overweight or obese and also healthy. My doctor constantly goes to anything that is related to weight to explain problems. But when we do it.. it always comes back healthy and she continues to just ignore this? I am just over the "obese" line on BMI yet I have low blood sugar, low blood pressure, and despite her best efforts... I do not have sleep apnea.

I eat an extremely healthy diet. It isn't about what you eat... it is about the calories you eat in comparison to the amount you burn. What do I burn? My doctor doesn't have a clue and refuses to find out. I did on my own dime and her recommendations were wayyy over what I burn.

The entire diet world is massively messed up and you jut are going to have to ignore them.
