Yes I only flashed the bios once when my hard drive was failing and that was one of the troubleshooting tips------I was like hmmm lets try it and I was one of those people who had a second password on the bios just to make the computer as unsellable as possible if someone stole it. I feel like reading this book is like reading ancient history.....I know the modern version is uefi but its not like I've ever had to access it, apparently its more of a graphical interface than ye olde bios. Apparently you can get to it thought some troubleshooting menu without even having to jam on the F2 etc when booting up.

Speaking of toast I had to update the firmware in my camera once and the battery died halfway though the process-----toast-----so sad....
