When I'm in an episode the nights are the worst for me. I have trouble walking around my house without turning on every light I go into (hallway lights, room lights, bathroom lights) even if it seems like one light will do. I even got a night light to sleep with, I even sleep with it now even though I'm not symptomatic anymore. And going outside of the house at night is a huge no-no when I'm in an episode.

It takes forever afterwards to regain control of the fear of the dark. I just finished a really bad episode about a month ago and am still sleeping with a night light, still turning on some lights (not nearly as many as before), and am barely starting to go outside at night. I think the lingering fear is from the possibility that it all can happen again instead of the actual episode itself.
