I guess they thought it was a bad sign then and didn't want to take the chance hiring someone with a medical issue. Or maybe they just needed someone to start immediately. I don't know. I'm sorry this happened to you. I would try to get the sleeping issue under control before you apply anywhere else, unless you think you can deal with it and work at the same time.
