I am from the older generation--I got stuck playing HalfLife. That was before the online games got popular so, there was no social aspect to it. I am so glad I got away from it. I find my world to be much richer when I am actually living it. I still am a solitary person, but I spend more time with other hobbies--painting and reading and such. I think my life is much better now that I have given up the games. But, it was a phase I went through and even though I kinda "wasted" time, I don't regret doing it. It was just one of those things I did...hopefully, you can get yourself out of the game and get into life a little more. A job sounds scary, but maybe it would be a good thing for you. I know my job forces me to be out in the real world--to deal with the everyday things that people have to deal with.
