I have been through several psychologist....a few evaluations, and at least three therapist... I am not the best at communicating via text message...yet I guess it's safe to say that here in the states I have been getting therapy for 8 years.. I never had a chance to get close to a therapist but they never let me down or hurt me in any way..so it's safe to say that therapist still care about you and they do their job well...even if you don't see the same one the whole eight years... just be sure that they are having a clear picture of what is going on with you...either by looking at past therapy notes etc...
