It is hard to overcome habits even once you're not depressed. One of my habits was self injury, and even when I stopped being depressed I would get the urge to do it anytime I was stressed out. Just because that was what I had known for so long.
Maybe try to plan your day? Like when you wake up say you're going to use your iPad for a few minutes and then get up and clean for fifteen minutes. Then you can go back to bed. Or set alarms so in case you do fall asleep you'll wake up and still have time to clean and/or get to work. Like just automatically set another alarm when you wake up.
