Ex T used to have an office that shared a wall with the waiting room of a fairly large practice. She told me that one time she went into the waiting room and asked someone to lower their voice and that person filed a complaint with the owner of the practice! There were staff who witnessed the whole thing, and they backed up exT, so nothing came of it, really. Ex T did manage to eventually get moved to another office.

But yes, it was distracting when people were loud in the waiting room. I didn't feel like they could hear me-we were clearly only hearing people out there who were being pretty loud. But it did interrupt sessions.
