. Like you I am grateful to not have to work anymore (retired) I have a herniated disk in my neck and it does cause arm pain and tingling in my hand. There are a lot of options for treatment that don't involve major surgery. Physical therapy helps a lot too. Pain can cause the muscles to tense up and make things worse.
As for the eye issues. Migraines can

cause your eyes do weird things. I get a wierd double vision, not side to side, but top to bottom. I see an image on top of the same image.
I don't know if you are on any psych meds. But if you are, please try to discuss your medical issues with your Pdoc. They usually don't go into all the side effects with us because they think we will hear about the and then "imagine" that we have side effects.
Some ADs an APs can cause vision problems. Best of luck to you on your journey to wellness.
