Cake, I have a thread in the social forum about the hurricane. Right now it is still too far away from me to know where it's going. After descending into panic mode I came up with a plan, actually several plans. I live in a mobile home, so if the storm heads towards me I'm getting the h e l l out of Dodge. I have a friend who lives about 100 miles north of me. There's no one living in her mother's house right now. She offered me and the critters the house to use if we need to evacuate. If the storm goes further east I will stay home and ride it out. Meanwhile I have my hurricane supplies. I stock up the start of the season. Tomorrow night when I get home from work I'll pick up stuff outside that could turn into a projectile. We should know by Friday night what direction it is taking along the state. If it's headed my way I'll pack what I need to evacuate and hit the road Saturday morning. The storm is not expected to get as far north as I am until Sunday. I should have plenty of time to get to my friend's ahead of it.
Aside from all the other worries that go with a storm as huge as Irma is the change in barometric pressure will trigger my fibro pain. Hmmm, need to remember to pack my heated throw.
If I remember correctly Christina is no longer in Florida, so should be safe.
To anyone in the path of the storm. Do what you need to be safe. Irma is one HUGE mother! I've stopped panicking, but she still scares the h e l l out of me.
