Just registered, having been recently diagnosed @60 w/ADHD.....following the thread here.
I'm struggling with the number of meds, as I have several other health issues that require scripts. I'm resistant to starting Aderall as that would make #12. Further, having seen mental health professionals from pre-adolescent, I'm wondering why no one until now has even suggested anything remotely related to ADHD. I get that this is a newly recognized disorder in adults, but having taken some of the quizzes available, I acknowledge some of the behaviors from early on.
I'm not sure what response if any I'm seeking, but stumbled on the site in my internet wanderings, and wanted to express these thoughts.
Anybody relate?
