Sigh... And here we need RAIN, the fires have been so bad. It's been raining ash. People here haven't had that since 1980 when Mt. St. Helens blew.
We got just a sprinkle of rain tonight. Thankfully the winds changed which saved a town on the edge (40 minutes from me) and one of our oldest lodges was saved (again). Started by a teen lighting a firework grrrrr. Much of the Columbia River Gorge will never be the same (but will regrow, as forests do...). It will take many years for the pristine beauty to return and the trails to open. I still don't know the status of my friend's house and I-84 is closed indefinitely. The fire also jumped the river. That teen will be tried as an adult. I think he's 15. He just threw his life away.
I can breathe better now- had to wear a mask and use an inhaler for days. That steroid also wore me out and put me in fibro flares and severe chronic fatigue.
Getting by with a little help from my friends.
Praying/ wishing everyone is safe across our highly disrupted world!!!!
Hugs
