I'm certainly not an expert in this area, but my daughter is on meds that impact the effects of birth control pills. Her Dr opted for Depo Vera (sp), the quarterly shot in place of bcp's. Told her that that meds would not impact the effectiveness of the shot.

While some of the other meds may also impact BCPs, my research on my daughter's meds showed Tegratol to be the main culprit.

My daughter is on Tegratol, Nefazadone and Desipramine.
