My daughter told me she had bad news and could I handle it at that time. First, for fall break she will be doing a project with school out of state and we won't see her. Second, she is going to be out of the country with school for most of winter break. She'll return late the 23rd. This weekend she's doing habitat for humanity.

It felt like a gut punch. I do want her to succeed and she's really working hard but really, can a parent see their child? Come on!
