I explained to a few people that i got into philosophy by reading the bible. People always get confused by that.
It started out with me thinking how the bible is a kind of philosophy with the whole teaching you how to live life and stuff. So i googled "philosophy of life" immediately after reading a few verses in the bible. And i found sartre and kierkegaard and i bought a few books and i became obsessed ever since. This was back in 2012, in the middle of my major episode.
Philosophy brings a lot of meaning to my life, which made me also become obsessed with existentialism and philosophical schools of thought like that. It helps me.
But about a week ago i got torn up mentally when i read a verse in the bible that said something about to not adhere to philosophy and philosophical thought.
